<itunes:subtitle>Hampshire Constabulary&#039;s Plodcast looking at policing issues in Hampshire UK</itunes:subtitle>
<itunes:summary>Ian Sainsbury takes a look at various aspects of policing in Hampshire. In the first episode he looks at the setting up of Hampshire Constabulary&#039;s first SmartWater Zone in Portsmouth. SmartWater is a bit like DNA and is used to mark property in a very unique way. It has had a big effect on deterring criminals in other parts of the UK where it&#039;s been used as it can be traced back easily.

In the second one Ian finds out about the Front Office Design Competition which has been running in Portsmouth which could see changes to reception areas of police stations across the county to help make them more welcoming and citizen focused.</itunes:summary>

 <title>Plodcast 2: Front Office Design Competition</title>
 <link>https://plodcast.jellycast.com/node/6</link>
<description>Plodcast 2: Ian Sainsbury looks at the Front Office Design Competition which has been run by the Police in Portsmouth in partnership with Portsmouth University and Highbury College. Students on the interior design courses submitted plans about how they would change and update our front office areas (reception). An awards night was held for the winners at Portsmouth Landmark Spinnaker tower in February 2008. Ian went along to find out more about the design&#039;s and how some of the idea could be used to change the front office areas of the police stations, not only in Portsmouth, but across Hampshire to make them more friendly and Citizen focused. </description>
